It Is Well(ness) Month

According to the internet, August is National Wellness Month, even though we should all be making an effort to take care of ourselves all year round. This month highlights practices we can implement to be kinder to ourselves and others.

Before we get into it, how are you really? Have you been drinking water? Wearing SPF? Taking breaks when you need them?

I’m sure you all are trying your best and I’m proud of you (:

Tips on De-Stressing

Most of my friends know this, but I don’t like being stressed. I mean, who does? For me especially, I try my best to avoid situations that would induce any type of stress. This is even more emphasized in my day-to-day life now since I’m no longer in school.

Don’t get me wrong, stress can be good. It’s important to feel some pressure from time to time, just not ALL the time.

  1. Baby Steps

I like making to-do lists of up to 5 things at most. These tasks would include things I know I can accomplish in the day. If something is going to be more time consuming, I try to minimize the list. It’s okay if you can’t get everything done, that’s why there’s tomorrow (Matt. 6:34).

  2. Break Time

This is often easier said than done, but take a break. Productivity doesn’t mean you need to constantly be moving. A study tip I used to swear by was taking a 15 minute break after every hour of doing work. Take this time to step away from your task to breathe, stretch, eat something, drink some water, and/or say a little prayer!

  3. Be Kind to Yourself

It can be hard, but have grace for yourself! As long as you’re doing your best, you’re doing great (: God sees your efforts and I’m sure those around you appreciate the things you do!

Even after this month, please take care of yourselves. Remember, you are loved, seen, heard, and significant. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed. As always, BAE is here for YOU!

Praying for and loving you always,

Angeli <3
