A Hard Pill To Swallow: On Obedience
Hey BAE’s!
Happy New Year! I hope that these first couple of weeks have been treating you well and you’ve been able to rest! During this time, I’m sure a lot of us have made goals we want to achieve this year.
Some of the things I want to accomplish in 2022 are:
Getting a full time job that’s related to my degree and/or to my passions
Acquire a new hobby or try something new long term
Get back into my @LooksBy.Jelly page
Start working out more consistently again
A Hard Pill to Swallow
Apart from these, one of my biggest goals is to not rely on convenience and to become more proactive in my walk. I realized my complacency and, honestly, laziness began to take over after my recent unemployment. Yes, rest is important and a break was definitely needed, but I slowly slipped away from responsibilities and pushed things aside, including my time with God and serving Him. With this said, I’m about to give you a hard pill to swallow as a believer…
“Delayed obedience is disobedience”
Scary, huh? This is something I heard from my worship pastor that really convicted me, but as scary as it sounds, it’s something we all need to hear.
I want to remind you that we were not created to be perfect and because we’re only human, we’ll slip up from time to time. The conviction we feel is what sets us apart and the next step to take is to take action.
My prayer over myself and for you all is that we reignite and strengthen the flame of our faith. I hope that my transparency will encourage you to take the step towards obedience and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
Praying for and Loving you always,
Angeli <3
