Hard Pill to Swallow: On Obedience (pt. 2)

Hey BAE’s!

I hope the last blog didn’t scare you off. I’m glad that you’re here and you’re definitely not alone in this season of your life.

Just to reiterate what was said in the last blog, this is a hard pill to swallow, but it needs to be said.

“Delayed obedience is disobedience.”

What now?

That statement convicted me so much because my complacency during this season has led to laziness. Lazy faith, I guess , is what you can describe it as. It’s beyond just needing rest to recuperate from the physical and mental stress I’ve gone through, it’s fully understanding how powerful prayer is and leaning into what the Holy Spirit is leading you to

BAE Collective is a space where we want to encourage you to take the leap into faith, meaning taking action to go and grow deeper in your relationship with Christ. I’m forever grateful that God has placed me in this ministry with women who love me and keep me accountable.

So as a form of accountability, here are some practical things I’m gonna do to get out of this funk:

  1. READ THE WORD (MORE)!

Start with devotionals and then dive deeper into the Scripture. Even better, start a devotional with those who can keep you accountable!

  2. START WITH PRAYER

Sometimes it’s easy to start your day with a groan, dreading going to work or school. Instead, let the first words you say be “thank you, Lord.” This tends to start my day on a good note.

  3. FASTING

This is definitely a topic in itself to blog about, but I would encourage you to intentionally fast. Not just cutting out social media for a couple days, but actual fasting of meals and replacing those times of eating with fellowship with God.

**Note: Fast with the intention to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. I’m not encouraging you to starve or skip meals for the sake of doing so. Please do your research on various types of Biblical fasts and what is best for you to do. If you have any questions, please feel free to DM us and we can lead you to some helpful resources and guidance.

Remember that there is no “Perfect Christian,” only a perfect God.Again, you’re not alone. BAE is rooting for you! God is rooting for you!

Praying for and loving you always,

Angeli <3
