Love is in the Air

In less than a week it’s going to be the holiday people dread, love, or are just indifferent about. I personally love Valentine’s Day and it hasn’t really mattered what my relationship status is. I love seeing all the pink and red hearts plastered everywhere and I love that it’s just another day to celebrate love. I just love, love.

Whether you’re spending the 14th with a significant other or with your friends, love is in the air. God is love and He’s always present, and should be placed at the center of what’s going on.

Choose Love

“Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.”

2 John 1:6 NLT

Who are you spending quality time with? How are you showing and making them feel loved? Of course, this doesn’t only happen on Valentine’s Day because we should always choose to be intentional in our relationships (in general) everyday.

Something I’ve emphasized before is how important it is to start your days with gratitude, but something else I want to add is to choose love everyday. Even with the people you’re not on the best of terms with, you’ve been called to love them (not like them).

You’re included in this. On the days where you don’t love or like yourself, remember that you’re loved and have been created with love.

When you choose love, it changes how you approach things in your life. You begin to think in a more Christ-like way because you know Love. From there, you’re able to work in the overflow, with kindness, patience, etc.

So no matter how you choose to spend this day, choose love and to be intentional about it.

Praying for and loving you always,

Angeli <3
