Stepping into Your Passions + God-Goals

Figuring out your passions and God goals is super exciting, but stepping into them is a whole different ball game! I’m not saying this to scare you- this process can be just as exciting- it just requires effort and a lot of faith.

Let’s do this!

A personal God-Goal of mine is helping others, specifically through education and communication. Being a Sociology major has definitely taken a toll on me in all aspects- mentally, emotionally, physically, and even spiritually. Even the lessons I’ve learned outside of school have made me ask “Are you frikkin kidding me??” But I love what I learn and the days crying in my school’s library have been worth it. I wouldn’t want to have it any other way!

Now, knowing your passions and God-goals, what are you gonna do about it?

1. Remain Prayerful and Thankful

If you’re anything like me, I go all in once I start something I’m really passionate about. The only downside of this, is that I sometimes don’t take time to talk to God. Remember that God has blessed you with the opportunities given to you and He’s with you through it all.

2. Stay Disciplined!

When the enemy has a hunch that something good is coming your way, he’ll try to do anything to stop you. For me, I admit, was dating. Like, it probably would’ve been more worth it if it were Michael B. Jordan or Kim Taehyung (sorry Deej). Obviously there’s nothing wrong with getting distracted every once in a while, but try your best to not let distractions hinder you from God’s plans. THANK GOD, He gave me a passion for learning or else I don’t know what kind of student I would be.

Protect your calling!!! In Ephesians 6:14-17, Paul urges us to put on the full armor of God. Also, I’m just going to remind you to ALWAYS guard your heart!!

3. Have Faith!

There’s gonna be moments, and there will be a lot of them, where you feel like giving up. Like I said, it’s not going to be easy. It’s okay to just take a minute to breathe and pray for strength and guidance. No one is telling you to do everything yourself, you have your brothers and sisters in faith and our ultimate Provider by your side!

In the previous blogs for this series, you’ll learn that God-goals impact more than yourself and they can’t be accomplished just by you.  Your God-goal is beyond you. And not to sound mean, but most of the time, you just have to get over yourself. As in, giving up control and trusting in the Father’s plan. This doesn’t mean not doing anything, it means doing all you can for and through Him

Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.
— Luke 22:42

Jesus is the ultimate example of stepping with faith into your calling. Regardless of what obstacles may come our way, it is not our will but His that will be done. All the glory goes to Him. Stepping into your calling means allowing yourself to be in uncomfortable, scary positions in order to be in the comfort of our Father in the Kingdom of Eternity.

Please don’t be afraid to reach out to us about anything, we’re here to help and support you!

Praying for and loving you always,
