The Beauty of Social Media
The beauty of social media is that they are platforms used to create and share. It creates opportunities for you to share how good God is in your life. Whether the content you post is meticulously curated or just a random photo dump of what’s going on in your life, the people who see it will see something different about you.
People will be able to see the way God is working in your life and hopefully want to know more!
Something I also love about it, though it may seem to cause division depending on the topic, is that it allows conversations to happen. I’m not talking about random DM’s, but from those wanting to gain understanding, empathy, and knowledge about God.
A lot of the time, we hear the cons of social media use. Often, it’s a love-hate relationship that we have because it’s a space that can open doors to comparison or addiction. While these are very valid reasons to dislike social media, the best way to enjoy it is with intention.
This is something that we at BAE Collective emphasize. Intention. When we view and use social media with intention, it becomes a space we enjoy more.
We can be more intentional by following people that inspire us to act on our God-given talents, sharing the Word in our captions and posts, or even creating content that inspires others to seek Christ.
