Take Your Space- On Transformation

Hey BAE’s!

At the end of last year, I wrote about taking the authority that God has given us in order to take up the space that’s meant for us.

Now that we’re nearing the halfway point of 2022 (which is super crazy btw), I want to remind you of the transformation that happens when you allow God to work through us.

Transform

If you didn’t know, I have a passion for makeup, fashion, and overall visual aesthetics. I am no stranger to physical transformation. My hair has gone through A LOT of transformation throughout the years, from having red hair, a little lavender moment, to going dark and then back again to blonde.

I love that changing up my hair, makeup, and/or fashion style can completely change how I feel about myself and how people may perceive me.

Having purple hair in college pushed me to be more present in my classes because what if I was absent one day and the professor thought, “where did that girl with the unique hair go?” So, I felt more obligated to attend my classes and participate.

Honestly, genuine transformation has nothing to do with appearance, but in the way you think and how you choose to express change.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Romans 12:2 (NLT)

Many times, I would change my hair after a huge shift in my life, whether it be due to heartbreak or because I craved for change. What I was missing in those times was a genuine transformation.

I may have cut off my hair and spent most of my days in the gym, but my mindset was not ready for change. I looked different, but thought the same way I did before this so-called transformation.

It’s Time for Change

It’s not an overnight process, as much as we hope for it to be. Like what I have mentioned in the past, healing is not linear. There will be days that we feel great and our relationship with the Lord is at a peak, but there will be other days when the enemy just gives us a field day, flooding us with doubt or preying on the little bits of insecurity we may have.

I challenge you to reflect on the things you want to change, in terms of thoughts and habits. Allow any physical change to be an afterthought. Don’t worry, I’m on the same boat as you with this.

Ask God what we need to change in order to allow Him to increase in our lives and pray for the decrease of ourselves, our selfish desires to change in ways we only want.

Take it one day at a time.

Praying for and Loving you always,

Angeli <3
